Maaliskuun ompelukerhossa katsomme jenkkiläisiä pieneläinkirurgian opetusvideoita tiistaina 15.3. klo 19 alkaen. Katseltavissa on osallistujien mielenkiinnon mukaan mm. useita kirurgian peruskurssiin kuuluvia vatsaontelon ja virtsateiden operaatioita. Videot ovat kerronnaltaan selkeitä ja tahattoman huumorin ansiosta lisäksi viihdyttäviä. Niiden katselusta saa paljon irti, vaikkei olisi vielä kirurgiaa opiskellutkaan.
Mukaan mahtuu n. 15 tyyppiä – ilmoittaudu siis 14.3. mennessä osoitteeseen ompelukerho(at)ivsa.fi. Tapahtuma on ilmainen IVSA Finlandin jäsenille, muille 2 euroa. Tapahtumapaikkana on tuttu monitoimitila Alempi Talonpojantie 4 B:n alakerrassa.

In this surgery club meeting on March 15th at 7 pm we’ll be watching educational small animal surgery videos made in the U.S. There will be a large variety of surgical procedures to choose from, e.g. basic abdominal cavity and urinary tract operations. The quality of the videos is ok and they’re even entertainingly humoristic at times.
We can fit about 15 people to the sofas – reserve your place by sending an e-mail to ompelukerho(at)ivsa.fi by March 14th. The attendance is free for IVSA Finland members, for others it’s 2 euros. The event is held in the club room at Alempi Talonpojantie 4 B.

IVSA Finland ja EKY ry järjestävät tiistaina 29.3. klo 18 kerhohuone Kuopiossa tiedotustilaisuuden eläinlääketieteen opiskelijoille tarkoitetuista lyhyistä vaihto-, työharjoittelu- ja opintomatkamahdollisuuksista.
Esittelyssä ovat mm. IVSA:n tulevat kongressit, sympoosiumit ja ryhmävaihdot, IVSA-työharjoittelut, opiskelijoiden itse järjestämät työharjoittelut ulkomailla sekä NOVA -kurssit Pohjoismaissa. IVSA:n ja EKY:n edustajien lisäksi tiedekunnan kv-suunnittelija Janna Koivisto on paikalla puhumassa ja vastaamassa kysymyksiin. Tarjolla on toki myös pientä naposteltavaa. :)

Next surgery club meeting will be on Monday February 28th at 7 pm at the Alempi Talonpojantie 4 B multipurpose room. We’ll practice different sutures and simple surgical procedures. There will be spare sets of instruments available but you can also bring your own instruments with you.
The event is free for our members and 2 euros for non-members.
There is room for 10 participants. Enroll in the event by sending an email to ompelukerho at ivsa fi by February 27th. Welcome!

Tiedekunnan vaihtokohteisiin haun alkamisen kunniaksi valmistamme ja maistelemme ranskalaisia erikoisuuksia kahden ranskalaisen vaihto-opiskelijan johdolla keskiviikkona 9.2. klo 19 ->. Tule hellimään makunystyröitäsi, tutustumaan ranskalaiseen kulttuuriin ja juttelemaan vaihtoon lähtemisestä ja vaihdossa olemisesta aitojen vaihtareiden sekä IVSA-aktiivien kanssa!

A French feast in February!
IVSA Finland invites you for a taste journey into the secrets of French cuisine. Two French exchange students will be cooking and serving their country’s specialities for us on February 9th at 19 o’clock in Alempi Talonpojantie 4 B club room. Join us for an evening of delicacies, French culture and nice conversation with other vet students!
The attending fee for the event is 3 € for the members of IVSA Finland and 5 € for non-members. Enroll in the event by 23.59 o’clock on February 7th by sending an e-mail to pj(a)ivsa.fi. The enrollment is binding.

The first surgery club of 2011 will be arranged on Wednesday January 26th starting at 7 pm at the Alempi Talonpojantie 4 B multipurpose room. Here’s a map to the place: http://bit.ly/aPWkUL
There will be a meeting of the OC of our exchange with IVSA Poland Olsztyn partly at the same time so the surgery will be conducted in silence or at least a bit quieter than normal.
There will be rats available for suturing as well as surgical instruments if you don’t have your own. There is space for about 10 students. The event is free for members and 2,00 euros for non-members.
